David Brown, a talented hurler who hails from Portlaoise in Co Laois, was an Irish national. He was a member of the Laois Minor team as well as his club Portlaoise GAA.

David Brown’s sudden passing has left everyone devastated. He was only 15 at the time. Tributes are pouring on social media.
Brown sustained severe injuries on April 9, 2023 in an incident that occurred in a wooded area near Emo, at around 2pm following a quad-bike crash. Gardai arrived at the scene, and stayed until the evening.David Brown, a hurler, died after a quad-bike accident that was fatal.
Ambulance personnel also attended the scene but unfortunately, the teenager was fatally injured. A Gardai spokesperson said that an investigation was underway and more information would be forthcoming.

Who was David Brown? David Brown’s Family History
David Brown was an accomplished hurler who played for Portlaoise GAA. He was also a member the Laois Minor Hurling Panel. He even represented his country in the U/17 Celtic Challenge Hurling Competition victory over Kildare.
Brown, as we have already said, was a student in the third year of St Mary’s CBS. He played both hurling (hurling) and football at his school.
David Brown was also a loving family man who is survived by James Brown (Father), and Carmel Brown, his mother. Seen as being from Portlaoise, his parents were reported to have died in 2011.David Brown’s tragic accident left everyone devastated.
David grew up with his two siblings, Sarah and Conor. His brother was a member of the Laois senior team that beat Wexford on sunday.
James, the father, is a painter and member of Laois County Fire and Rescue Service. According to reports, they are well-known and highly regarded in Portlaoise.
