Nicki was an intelligent and talented young lady with a bright career ahead of her. She was also a caring and loving person, always willing to assist others. Nicki’s family, her friends and everyone who knew her will miss her deeply.
Nicki was born on 8 March 2004 in Bolton, Ontario. She was the beloved sister of Taylor and the daughter of Shane Chan and Ena. Nicki was an intelligent and curious child, who loved to learn. She was also kind and compassionate, always putting others first.
Nicki was a student at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic High School in Bolton. She excelled in academics and participated in a variety of extracurricular activities. She was also a part of the drama club, debate team and student council. Nicki volunteered at the local animal shelter and food bank.
Nicki studied law and public policies at the University of Guelph after high school. She was a talented and bright student, who was liked by both her professors as well as classmates. Nicki was a part of the debate team at the university and the student council. Nicki was an incredibly loving, caring and generous person.
She was a good friend to all she met, and always there for those who loved her. Nicki’s smile and joy will be remembered by everyone who knew her. Nicki’s passing is a tragedy for her friends, family and community. She was a talented and bright young woman who had a bright future in front of her. Nicki will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Nicki Edan was a 19 year old resident of Bolton in Ontario who died unexpectedly on 7 May 2023. She was the beloved child of Shane Chan and Ena Chan, and the dear sister of Taylor. Nicki was an intelligent and talented young woman who studied law and public policy in Guelph. She was known for her caring and loving nature. She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Nicki’s family, her friends and everyone who knew Nicki deeply regret the loss.
The funeral mass will honor Nicki’s memory at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Bolton. It will take place on Friday May 19, at 11:00 AM. The family requests donations to be made instead of flowers. A GoFundMe account has been set up in Nicki’s name.

She was a part of the debate team at university and took part in student government.
