Scott, a Colorado-based flight attendant had made an appearance in a 2020 United Airlines video where she discussed her transition and how important it was to share her story with others.

According to the Los Angeles Blade, the Denver Police Department is conducting an investigation into Kayleigh’s death. The final determination on the cause of death will come from the Denver Medical Examiner’s Office. The police department spokesmen confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
How Did Kayleigh Scott Die?
Scott posted a social media message on March 23 that hinted at her difficulties. Shortly after, her family confirmed her death.
Andrea Sylvestro, Scott’s mother, told PEOPLE that it was hard to see the pain in her child’s eyes and she wishes she could remove it. She said that she was a bright, shining light who loved and accepted everyone. She was a compassionate person who loved everyone she met. She was truly special.”

Kayleigh Scott was recognized by United Airlines in 2020 when she appeared in a United Airlines diversity campaign video. Scott spoke out in the video in support of Trans Day of Visibility. She stated, “I used be embarrassed about being trans. All I wanted was to blend in.”
