Aric Hutchinson Accident
Over 100 people gathered at Folly beach in South Carolina over the weekend in tribute to Samantha Miller. The 34-year old woman was tragically killed by a fatal car accident just a month ago on her wedding day.
Aric Hutchinson expressed during the Saturday vigil that Samantha would have loved the commemoration. As reported by CBS affiliate WCSC, attendees participated in a touching gesture. They cast flowers into the sea with “Sam” lovingly engraved on the stems.
“This is Sam.” Hutchinson said during the vigil, “I mean, she is a beach lover. This gathering is her beautiful farewell. We used to walk by the beach here almost every morning. “I’m sure she’s smiling down at us with a radiant grin.”
Miller’s life tragically ended on April 28 when the golf cart in which she, her husband, Ben Garret (his brother-in law) and Garret’s teenage son were traveling was rear-ended at Folly Beach. Samantha was wearing her wedding gown at the time of this tragic collision.

On April 28, the devastating accident occurred, resulting in Samantha Hutchinson’s untimely demise. Her husband Aric Hutchinson and two family members were injured.
The lawsuit alleges that the accused driver identified as Komoroski began her evening at El Gallo Bar and Grill, near Daniel Island, before moving on to Folly beach, where it is alleged she bar-hopped along Center Street.
The lawsuit seeks to determine the responsibility and the consequences of Komoroski’s actions that led up to the collision.

Annette Hutchinson shares her heartbreaking story about the loss of Aric Hutchinson. Samantha “Sam”, Aric’s daughter-in law, was killed by a drunken driver on the 28th of April as she and Aric were leaving their wedding in Folly Beach. Aric is still in critical condition.
Aric’s brother in law Benjamin Garrett and Brogan Garrett from Morgan, Utah were both accompanying the couple on a golf cart during the incident.
A drunk driver was driving at 65 MPH when the speed limit is 25 MPH. The golf cart was thrown over 100 yards, and rolled multiple times.
Aric suffered serious injuries which required extensive medical care, including reconstruction surgeries, treatment of numerous broken bones and a head injury. It will be a long and difficult recovery for him. Ben and Brogan both suffered injuries. Ben’s was the most severe.
Annette, in the midst a heartbreaking situation, received Aric’s ring from Sam, who had placed it lovingly on Aric’s finger during the heartfelt vows. Aric lost the love of her life.
This fundraiser was initiated to help cover Aric’s medical costs and the burial expenses of Sam.
Aric and Sam lived in Utah, Aric’s home state, as well as South Carolina. Sam, who was born in North Carolina, lived with Aric. Aric had graduated from Bonneville High School, South Ogden Utah and played college football at Snow College and Utah Tech.
Who is the driver?
According to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division’s report, Jamie Lee Komoroski (25 years old) was driving under the influences with a blood-alcohol level that was approximately three times the legal limit.
Around 10 pm on April 28, Komoroski was driving a car rental when he collided with a golf cart. He was traveling at approximately 65 miles an hour.
