Two teenagers and a teenage girl died after a stolen car, driven by a 13 year-old boy, crashed into them.

Kelsie Davies, a teenager from Oakhurst in Queensland, Australia died just a few short weeks before her 18th birthday in an accident that occurred in Maryborough. Maryborough is located about 130 miles north-northeast of Brisbane.

A 13-year-old Bundaberg boy was arrested by police after the Mercedes-Benz he was driving allegedly struck Kelsie’s vehicle from behind. The Holden Kelsie rode in when the collision occurred was violently thrown towards an approaching Mazda.

Sarah Gilleatt, Kelsie’s best friend, called the youngster a “beautiful” girl. She told 7News that the girl “didn’t deserve” to die. “Nobody should die in this way.”

Who was Kelsie Davies?

Kelsie Davies, a hopeful and young teen girl, tragically died on May 1, 2023 after a 13-year old boy driving a stolen vehicle smashed her.

Kelsie, a bright and talented student, graduated from Riverside Christian College in Maryborough in 2022. Teachers and faculty at Riverside Christian College, Maryborough where Ms. Davies received her graduation last year, were devastated by the tragedy.

Tom Smith, Bundaberg Labor’s MP who was taking classes to prepare for his inauguration in the Queensland Legislature in 2020, served as one of her teachers.

According to Mr. Smith “Kelsie is a student every educator would love to teach.” She was eager to learn and set high goals. Most importantly, she was a sweet, kind child who was loved by her classmates.

Tom Smith, the Labor MP for Bundaberg, also said that it was difficult to express all of the reasons that Kelsie would be missed. However, he was sure that her classmates in the Riverside High School graduating class will be devastated and will feel a loss for someone so dear to them.

Kelsie was also a devoted friend and loving daughter. Her dreams and ambitions have all been dashed by her tragic, untimely death.

Australian Girls Killed in Crash-Accident Details

Three young women were identified as victims of an horrific car accident that was allegedly caused by a 13 year old kid driving a stolen Mercedes.

The alleged stolen car collided with a Holden at about 10.45pm on April 30, 2023, in Maryborough. This is 245 kilometers north-east of Brisbane. Church pastor Michale C. Chandler, 29, was killed, as well as Kelsie Davies.

The force of the accident also pushed the Mazda into another car, killing Sheree Robertson, a 52-year old nurse, who was driving it home after work. Sheree Robertson, 52, was killed in a senseless accident while returning home from her job at Maryborough Hospital.

A passenger of the Holden vehicle was also airlifted for medical treatment to a Brisbane hospital.Michale Chandler also died on the scene of the accident. She was a devoted mother of two.

The boy, who had reportedly been driving the Mercedes, was taken to hospital and then turned over to police. He was arrested on three counts of dangerous driving of a vehicle that resulted in death as well as one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Police are investigating reports that a person was seen fleeing a scene. They’re also looking to see if there were any other people in the vehicle with the accused.

The collision occurred at 8:40 pm on April 30. Maryborough police received an unsolved theft report from the Mercedes involved. However, there was no pursuit underway when the collision took place.

The 13-year old boy is also scheduled to appear before the Maroochydore Children’s Court.
