Trevor Burrows Cause of death
Johnson County witnessed a fatal car accident that resulted in Trevor Burrows’ death and Jacob Cohen’s injury. According to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office the accident occurred Saturday morning at the 2800 block Dubuque Street N.E. Cohen and Burrows were driving south on Dubuque Street with a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, when the vehicle veered off of the road and rolled into a ditch.
Both teens were thrown from the car by the impact. They weren’t wearing seatbelts at the time. Burrows was killed instantly, while Cohen was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.

One 18-year old from North Liberty was killed and another was injured in a car crash on Saturday in rural Johnson County. The accident occurred in the 2800 block Dubuque St. NE. At around 1:30 AM, Trevor Burrows (18) and Jacob Cohen (18) were driving a Jeep Wrangler. They crashed into a ditch and the vehicle rolled, leading to both of their deaths. Authorities claim that neither one of them were wearing a seatbelt.

Both teens were ejected from their vehicle after the jeep they were travelling in crashed into a ditch. Burrows was declared dead by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Cohen was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for medical attention. However, the extent of his injuries are not known.

Trevor Joseph Burrows (18) of North Liberty, IA died in an accident on April 8, 2023. His funeral service will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Coralville, on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 11 a.m. A time of fellowship will follow the service in the church’s hall. The family will perform a private burial at Ridgewood Cemetery, North Liberty, overlooking their family home.
