Meredith was an unstoppable force, bringing a sense urgency and purpose to everything she did. She found joy and solace in gardening, connecting to nature, traveling, taking care of her dogs and loving her partner Damien. She dedicated her life to medicine.
She was one of the cofounders and owners at Our Family Doctor and she believed that she could provide exceptional, personalized care to families in her care. Her commitment and unwavering devotion to her patients was unparalleled. Her absence has left a profound void within our community. Many mourn her loss.

Who was Meredith Polansky?
Meredith, a doctor, was born in Archbald, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1977. She showed a strong interest in arts and sciences at a very young age. She left a lasting impression on many young people through her involvement in activities like dancing, gymnastics and cheerleading.
She went to Florida State University for her undergraduate studies after graduating from Valley View High School, Archbald, in 1995 as salutatorian.
Her quest for adventure took her to Australia, Bali Lombok Fiji, Singapore and Thailand. Meredith received her medical degree at the University of Florida, and she completed her Family Practice residency at MAHEC Asheville in North Carolina.
She has been on medical missions to Borneo and South Africa as well as to Haiti, India, India, India, India, Costa Rica, India, India, India, India, India, India, India, India, Costa Rica throughout her academic career, showing her dedication to helping others. She is involved in several nonprofit organizations and has also created The Healer’s Voice – an online arts magazine for healthcare providers.
Dr. Polansky founded Our Family Doctor in August 2011 and has contributed to the success of this practice, which is one of the largest private practices in Western North Carolina.
