John lived a life brimming with joy, love and compassion. A devoted husband, John shared an unbreakable connection with his wife Jane and enriched each other’s lives in numerous ways. Together, they created an unshakeable foundation of love and friendship that was an encouragement to everyone who came across them.
A caring and loving father. John has left behind the legacy of values and family that will endure throughout the generations. He was a beacon of presence for his three children, Jen, Dan, and James MacKay, instilling in them the importance of being kind, resilient and the pleasure living life to the maximum.
John’s presence brought joy to the lives his children, Tyler, Braiden, Carter, Kate, and Liam. They shared precious moments of stories, laughter and unending admiration for their grandfather. He will always have an important space in their heart. Within the tight-knit Marlatt family John loved being a greatly-loved brother for Dave, Dianne, Dana and Mike. Their bond was stronger than distance and time, creating lasting memories and a strong bond that will last beyond the time of his physical presence.
